NASCAR Update: Dover Fall 2017

This past week's race was from Dover where Martin Truex Jr. was on the pole for Sunday's race. Brad Keselowski won stage 1 and Kyle Larson won stage two. Chase Elliott was leading at the end of the race but in the closing laps Kyle Busch was able to pass Elliott and win the race. This is the second week in a row the Kyle Busch has won. Busch won in the #18 M&M's Carmel Toyota. Second was Chase Elliott in the 24, 3rd- Jimmie Johnson, 4th- Martin Truex Jr., and 5th- Kyle Larson.

This was also the last race in the round of 16 for the playoffs. That means that the bottom 4 drivers in points were eliminated. Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch were safe from elimination because they both had wins in the round. The 4 drivers that were eliminated were #31- Ryan Newman, #3- Austin Dillon, #5- Kasey Kahne, and #41- Kurt Busch. The next race is from Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday, October 8th at 1pm Central on NBC. This is the first race of three in the round of 12.
